Seize the Day
I know it’s the first day of December, but I’ve already started looking ahead to next year.
I’ve already set some goals for myself, I’ve already been thinking of some changes I need to make, and I’ve even started preparing messages that I won’t teach until January and February.
It’s not that I’m not enjoying today. I am. But I also want to be ready for tomorrow. It’s not that I don’t want to seize this day, it’s just that I also want to be fully prepared to seize all the other ones that are coming after it.
It’s not easy to be disciplined enough to plan ahead, and I’m certainly not the perfect model, but I’m trying.
So, I guess what I’m saying is don’t just seize the day. Seize the week. Seize the month. Seize the year.
