In the Dust of the Rabbi
Our life group started a new study this past week entitled “In the Dust of the Rabbi”, and I just wanted to let all of you know that I think this study is going to be phenomenal.
I was a little worried at first about using this material because it’s completely different than anything we tried before. I was especially concerned that some of my group members might thing it was a little “nerdy”. However, not only was the study well received, but I learned and applied so many things to my own life as I prepared to lead it.
One of the reasons this small group material is so great, is how the host (a guy by the name of Ray Vander Laan), takes the viewer around different places in Israel and makes the Scriptures come alive in ways they’ve proabably never imagined before.
Anyway, it’s from the Faith Lessons series by Ray Vander Laan. Ray’s been putting out these Faith Lessons for a while now (I remember watching one of them almost ten years ago), but I figured some of you life group leaders had never heard of him and might want to give one of his studies a try. I know that we have several of these DVD’s available in the Life Group Library, and I just thought I’d put in a good word for these resources.
