Jingle Jam 2007 (Part 1)

Thursday, December 6th, 2007

If you miss every other Christmas party this year, don’t miss the Jingle Jam, this Sunday night, at 6:00 p.m., in the worship center.  If you don’t know what Jingle Jam is, it’s an evening of comedy, stories, music, games and excitement for the whole family.

While the night is focused on children and their parents, we would love to see our whole church family come out and join us for the biggest and best Christmas party of the year.  I promise you that no matter who you are, you’ll have a blast at the Jingle Jam.

I can’t tell you all that’s going to be happening, but I can tell you that you’ll be talking about this night the rest of the year.  We have a few tricks up our sleeves, and we think you’re going to be more than a little happy.

Oh, and one more thing.  This is definitely one of those events where you want to invite someone to join you.  So, whether you’ve got a friend who you can’t seem to get on our campus, or there’s a family in your neighborhood you know you need to invite to our church, Jingle Jam is the perfect event to ask them to.  After all, how many people will turn down an invitation to the coolest Christmas party ever?

Hope to see you at Jingle Jam!

Rock Around the Clock (Dec 07)

For anyone who cares, these are the five songs that are currently getting a lot of play time on my i-Pod.  Since it’s December, you’ll notice that all of these are Christmas songs.  Anyway, here they are in no particular order.

1. “We are the Reason” by Avalon- It’s an older song that you’ve probably heard of, but I promise you that you’ve never heard it like this…absolutely powerful!

2.  “Twelve Days of Christmas” by John Denver and the Muppets- There’s not a Christmas song that my family loves to sing than this one.  And this version is the best of all.  We especially love when they get to the eighth day of Christmas and Beaker does his thing…classic!

3.  “Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow” by Michael Bublè- I love this guy’s voice.  I think you will too.   All of his Christmas songs are great!

4.  “The First Noel” by Josh Groban and Faith Hill- two great voices…one great song…nuff said.

5.  “Up on the House Top” by The Jackson Five-  This may be the coolest Christmas song ever.  Trust me.

Additionally, I’m loving the new Relient K Christmas album, “Let it Snow, Baby…Let it Reindeer”.  It may be a little bit much for those who are 40 and over, but I can’t stop listening to it!
