I thought I’d share with you a little Christmas video today.  I probably won’t be blogging for the next couple of days, as I’ll be spending time with my family.  I hope you enjoy this video and I wish you all a “Merry Christmas!”

Last night, we had our life group Christmas party.  Everyone showed up and we had a great time.  Mike and Juli Waller hosted the party for us this year.  Shay and C.J. Wester fried a couple of turkeys, while everyone else pitched in with some incredible side dishes and desserts.  We played the game “Dirty Santa” again this year, and every couple had to bring a good gift and a “gag” gift.  Shane and Amy Self win for the gag gift of the year (I won’t spoil it now…see picture below).  Anyway, here are some pictures from our Christmas party.

And just so you know, I ended up with a pack of bikini underwear.  Just my luck!  I wish you could have seen how hard Tom McNeal was laughing when I picked his present.  And as you might imagine, I was teased the rest of the night. 

Last year, Office Max had one of the greatest ideas ever when they came up with a website that enables you to turn you or those you love into dancing elves.  I sent out a couple of e-mails last year of my son, Micah, dancing around dressed like an elf. 

Well, this year, the Office Max people are at it again, but they’ve taken their website to another level, by allowing you to dress multiple family members up as little elves and have them dance for everyone to see.  Some of you have sent me your own little, “Elf Yourself” videos in the last couple of weeks, but today, I am pleased to introduce my own video, featuring Micah, Kenzie, Brody, and Kassidy Walls.  

Additionally, my brother, Stephen decided he would create one with our Dad (Southside’s pastor, for those of you didn’t already know), and his three sons.  You can check that out here.

For those of you who missed out and wonder what the big deal is about Jingle Jam, I’m pleased to announce you can follow this link and see for yourself what a cool event that this turned out to be.  And by the way, for those of you who wonder what Fusion is like, this video will give you a good idea of what we do every week.      

My brain hasn’t been working very well this week so I haven’t posted much.  And what I’m about to post actually has nothing to do with our church.  However, I thought most of you would get a big kick out of this video.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 

If you missed Jingle Jam, you really did miss the coolest Christmas party of the year.  The beach balls were flyin’, the music was rockin’, and the energy in the room was absolutely electric.  Al was as hilarious as always, our actors performed excellently, and our singers absolutely sang their hearts out.  Anyway, I could go on and on about how great our kid dancers were, or how corny the jokes were, or even how yummy the milk and cookies were, but instead I thought I’d just share a few pictures from Jingle Jam.
