Indescribable (Part 5)
Brad Powell rocked the house. If there is one person in America that could speak to pastors on the importance of change, it is Brad Powell. I’d love to be able to give everyone in our church a copy of the CD so they could hear how important it is for our church to constantly be looking forward, doing whatever it takes to reach people for Christ. Anyway, here are a couple of bullet points from his talk.
· I refuse to pastor a church where people “used” to come to Christ. I want to pastor a church where people “are” coming to Christ.
· The problem with many churches is that they’re looking backward instead of looking forward.
· Christ can’t build the church if we don’t let Him.
· God can take those who are flawed and those who have failed and build the church.
· Most churches are failing and allowing darkness to consume the world, rather than prevailing and shining light in the world.
There’s so much more I could say, but I don’t have the time to do it or the space on this blog. However, he’s written a book which you can purchase here, and he has a website which you can visit here.
