Celebration
If you’ve been reading this blog, you know that one of our core values here at Southside is “Celebrating Life Change”. Recently, Kevin and Micki Torres, demonstrated this value in an unbelievably cool way in our college ministry. This past Sunday morning, one of our college students (Teddy) made the decision to give his life to Christ. Kevin and Micki saw this as an opportunity to celebrate and boy, did they! At their life group later that evening, they broke out the Welch’s Sparkling Grape Juice, played the song, “Celebrate”, and made sure that Teddy was on the receiving end of a whole lot of celebratory hugs.
Anyway, I just thought that was an incredible example of “celebrating life change”, and I had to share it. But more than that, it got me thinking. What are some other creative ways to celebrate a changed life? What are some other ways we can make a big deal out of someone giving their life to Christ?
We would love to hear some feedback on this, so send us your brilliant thoughts and comments.
Oh, and by the way, here are a few pics of some of our college students making a big deal out of Teddy’s decision. (And remember, they’re drinking Welch’s!!)

I have a couple of thoughts…
First, I’m glad my house was clean since you put pictures on this blog.
Second, we should’ve bought more than two bottles of Welch’s.

How cool is that. What a great group of believers we have at Southside.
