The 3^rd session of the Fall Leadership conference was about Strategy.  One of the things that Billy said during the strategy was “the difference between church A and church B is strategy, because every church has the same mission.”  We have revisited our church strategy over a year ago and below are some of the notes that were talked about.  By the way the intro video was very funny.

What is it?

·        Strategy – A long term plan of action designed to achieve a goal

·        A Ministry Strategy – leading people with an end in mind.

Why is it Important?

·        When a church is not intentional, they will naturally fault into what’s most easy / benefits them.

·        We are to be strategic, because with church it’s a matter of eternity.

How Did We Develop Our Strategy?

Should we be driven by programs as a church?

·        When we think of programs, we tend to create something in order to meet specific needs that have surfaced in your attendee base or target group.

·        When we think of steps the primary goal is not to meet someone’s need, but rather to help someone get where they need to be.

·        We decided that our ministries need to become a step to lead someone somewhere spiritually.

What is Our Strategy?

·        To Love God through Worship

o   It should be the best 70 minutes of the week

·        To Love God through Life Groups

o   Discipleship is about knowledge and action

·        To Love God through Service

o   Serving organizationally at church & serving others by sharing your faith.
